The Monoplane Flooring System really
is the answer for today’s building
and construction requirements. Whether
you are building a single storey cottage
on an elevated floor system, a two storey
mansion, townhouses, unit construction
or a mezzanine floor in a commercial
building, the Monoplane Flooring System
has your flooring problems covered.
The Monoplane floor joists are ideal
for long span floor joist situations
and with single spans to 7000 meters,
many problems can be overcome, and many
dollars saved through the elimination
of unnecessary beams and columns otherwise
required.

Monoplane bearers and joists are parallel
trusses constructed using ‘C’
channel top and bottom chords and diagonal
steel channel webbing, to achieve superior
strength in larger open span areas.
The bearer sits on top of the lower
storey walls with the Monoplane joist
connecting to the inside face of the
bearer using a bracketing system.
The advantage of this method is that
the roof load will travel down through
the first floor walls, through the bearer,
through the lower storey walls to the
concrete slab or floor system. This
means that the roof load is not impacting
on the mid-floor joists, and allowing
stability for internal live and dead
loads.
Another important factor to consider,
which is also a cost saving area, is
that because the joists are connected
by brackets to the bearer face, end
joist bracings are not required.
The floor joists do not carry any roof
load unless there are internal load
bearing walls and the joists are modified
for this position.
Bearers and joists are fully assembled,
easy to handle, easy to erect, lightweight
yet strong, have the strength of steel
and the system is fully engineered. |
